Southwestern Writers Collection Series, The Wittliff Collections

Edited by Steven L. Davis

This series originates from the Southwestern Writers Collection, an archive and cultural center established at Texas State University to celebrate the region’s writers and literary heritage. Books in the series include scholarly monographs drawn from the archives of leading writers such as Cormac McCarthy and Sam Shepard, anthologies that highlight key components of southwestern culture including African American and Mexican American literature, as well as biography, memoir, and republication of classic southwestern books. Note: This series is no longer accepting new submissions. Proposals for projects in this field, however, can be sent directly to acquisitions editor Casey Kittrell at ckittrell@utpress.utexas.edu.
